  • The vast majority of Australians (81%) are pro-choice. The same national survey found 87% of women aged 18 to 49 support a woman’s right to choose.
  • While religious Australians account for the vast majority of the minority opposed to choice, 77% of Australians with religions affiliations support a woman’s right to choose.
  • There is no mood for change in the electorate. Polls show the proportion of Australian in supported of women’s unrestricted access to abortion has grown steadily since the 1980s.
